Blue Terra Energy provides independent energy consultation using the latest in tools such as high resolution thermography, combustion and power quality analyzers. Blue Terra Energy’s detailed energy audit reports allow you to identify where you can cut you energy costs and improve efficiencies, and identify potential problems in your home.
Commercial Energy Audits
Blue Terra Energy performs professional commercial energy assessments, detailing business energy consumption. Commercial energy audits are performed to reveal energy efficiency problems, helping uncover areas that affect business energy efficiency. Commercial energy auditors provide room-by-room examination of a business, as well of examination of past utility bills. Professional energy auditors from Blue Terra Energy use equipment to detect energy loss, such as infrared camera, combustion analyzers and duct testers.
Blue Terra Energy follows the ASHRAE energy audit format:
Level I Audit (Basic Consultation)
A Level I audit involves a cursory review of your utility bills and a walk through of your facility.
Following the utility review and walk-through, a summary report is issued identifying how your facility uses energy and recommends further actions and systems to be analyzed. This level of audit should be viewed as a beginning.
Level II Audit (Comprehensive Audit)
The Level II audit expands the detail and reporting of Level I.
We start by analyzing your utility costs over a 2 year period. We look at rate structures and plot out your use to look at trends and peaks. We will then analyze in detail, the systems recommended in the level I report. The level II includes engineering and economic analysis and predicts returns on investments using simple pay back or life cycle analysis.
It also includes advanced analysis of your HVAC, compressed air, and most mechanical and electrical systems. Having trouble with roof leaks or moisture damage. We can find those too. This level of audit is adequate for most facilities.
In addition to a Mechanical Engineering degree, Dave Camps is a certified Energy Auditor through the Association of Energy Engineers and Certified Level I thermographers.
